On May 7 at the press conference for the upcoming film “After Earth” (directed by Night Shyamalan), actor Will Smith revealed his thoughts on Korea and its artists.

He stated, “After arriving in Korea we visited ‘YG Entertainment’ yesterday. We met with a lot of artists including G-Dragon. The Korea we see from overseas is amazing and artistic. And it is full of creativity.”

Will Smith also added playfully, “I wanted to visit because Korean women are beautiful. Korea feels like PSY’s ‘mother father gentleman.’”

Meanwhile, film “After Earth,” originally known as “1000 A. E.,” is a science fiction thriller with main characters General Cypher Raige, played by Will Smith, and his son Kitai, who is played by Will Smith’s real-life son Jaden Smith.

When a star is as huge as Beiber, they will naturally attract anti fans (we see that a lot with groups like SNSD, and most prominently now with T-ara.) Still, regardless if you’re a Belieber or not, PSY signing to the same label as him is a very very very good thing. This is why:

1. Americans will now most likely get many opportunities to see PSY perform!
2. We will see PSY on American TV lots more
3. PSY will most likely do a collaboration with Beiber, which, from a standpoint of exposure, it can’t get much better.
4. PSY will be in a prime position to break into the American market in a big way
5. He will have access to American producers and companies to put on big shows, maybe even perform as a support for Beiber. But, if he gets really big in America, well, he could bring over 2NE1, Big Bang etc for big concerts! YG Family Live in the US!
6. And finally, and most importantly, PSY will be in a prime position to promote K-pop in America!
